Volunteers for this group will be asked to help take photos of students throughout the year. Our main goal is to have each child in the year book at least one time. This is a big goal, but with lists of names, teachers help, and photographers, we believe it can happen.
The biggest volume of help is needed at the end of the year when we are putting the yearbook together. Indivdual classroom photos need to be placed on pages, collage pages need to be put together and art work needs to be added. We have a great yearbook artwork system. In past years, catalog clip art was used to decorate the yearbook pages. In recent years, we've developed a fun art system for the students to create the artwork for the pages. Volunteer help is needed in collecting and placing the artwork on pages.
Concerning the 'collage' pages, many parents don't care for the mass of pictures on one page, known as collage pages. With 800 students, there is no other way to fit as many students as possible in the yearbook without doing the collage pages. The Historian part of this committee puts together scrapbooks for the school using left over photos from the yearbook. The scrapbooks are in the front office for all to look at. Pages for this are done after the Yearbook is complete.
We are always eager for new ideas and input and we'd love to have you on our committee.
