Kinder Buses

For many of our children, kindergarten is their first experience with "formal education." It is an exciting time for them and for their parents. It can also be a time of anxiety as they leave home on a school bus and return a couple of hours later on another bus. PTA organizes volunteers to ride home with your kindergarten students to help ensure that they arrive home safely. The volunteers assist the teachers in helping to get the students on the correct bus and then get off at the correct stop with a parent (or caregiver) waiting for them.

PTA provides 1 or 2 volunteers to ride home with the AM kinders and one volunteer for each of the eight buses for the PM kinders. We provide volunteers for the first 3 to 5 days of school as needed. Therefore this committee needs about 10 volunteers in order to provide assistance to the youngest members of our Hunt Elementary family!
