Our PTA sponsors a Harvest Festival on the last Friday of every October. This event originated as an alternative to "trick-or-treating" many years ago. It was our desire to provide a safe and fun alternative for our families at Hunt. In the beginning, the festivals were like school carnivals, with many games, booths, cake walks, etc. They later included inflatables and more commercialized booths like speed pitching, mazes, etc. With our attendance being so high at Hunt, we have recently moved out of the gym, utilizing more of the halls and classrooms to alleviate long lines. With more room, we are hoping to come up with even more creative ideas to incorporate into our most popular event of the school year!
September and October are very busy months of planning for this event. Approximately 75 volunteers are needed. Your involvement could include setting up booths, working booths, concessions, planning, cleanup, ticket sales, advertising, or decorating. Harvest Festival is considered a family night - all ticket sales are only to cover the cost of this event. This is not a fundraiser. We're looking forward to hearing from you to help with this terrific family night.
