Hello Everyone!
We are off to a great start for Hunt PTA. I hope you all had fun at Harvest Festival - we estimate that we had over 500 people attend, so it was a great time and we were so impressed how the kids behaved themselves, and the costumes were simply wonderful.
I want to say "congratulations" to the staff and students Hunt Elementary for being chosen as a "School of Distinction" for the second year in a row - what an amazing accomplishment - we are very proud of you and all of your hard work. We are in the top 2% of the schools in our entire state, this is simply amazing - way to go!
I also want to thank all of our hard working volunteers here at Hunt PTA. I know that times are tough - money is tight, time is valuable and there are so many things going on in everyone's lives, so I just really want to let you all know how much I value your hard work and dedication and the sacrifices that you make for our school. We are all here to enrich the great work of our school - not only for our own kids, but for all the kids here - so please know that you are greatly appreciated.
Our Fall Fundraiser was very successful - with the economy the way it is, we only fell short of our budgeted net by just about $1,500 - not too bad! Thanks to all that participated - and we promise to use your money wisely. Coming up this month we have Skate Night again on November 13 - so make sure to come join us, it is a great family evening to get out and enjoy our Hunt community.
Our next PTA meeting will be Tuesday, December 2 at 7pm in the library, so we hope to see you there. We will be choosing our Nominating Committee to get the ball rolling on officers for next year, so if this is something that interests you, please come and join us - we are hoping to have a very smooth transition from this year to next and as always are looking for new, fresh faces.
We have a lot to be thankful for this year, so I hope that you have a relaxing and wonderful Thanksgiving with those that you love.
